“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4. Real joy is heavenly motivated, spiritually supported and physically powerful. The joy that comes from God cannot be manipulated and cannot be denied or hindered when attacked by the forces of darkness. It is unconditionally sustained by the spirit of the living God, not by any physical attraction or indulgence. Lasting joy, enduring joy, transforming joy and uplifting joy, are of God and it can only come from God, which is the kind of joy you are entering into in your soon coming time and season. Apostle Paul admonishes us to be filled with the spirit that propels inner and outer joy and to exhibit it over and over again everywhere we go in every situation we may ever face.

Joy drives away the spirit of gloominess and frustration quicker than any other form of comfort and consolation; it takes shame away quickly, open doors that seem or had been impossible, doors that had been difficult, stubborn and unfriendly over the years. Joy expels anger, turns anger into mercy, attracts good companions, prepares the heart for something good, and encourages peace and harmony among brethren. It attracts new friends and relationships, sustains them peacefully and effortlessly.

Besides the spirit of joy, the spirit of hatred, anger and frustration reigns in you and that is what the devil will us to torment you repeatedly. The devil had tried to give joy another meaning through all forms of immoral living and behaviors, indulgences in that which is morally wrong and unacceptable to God and men with decent godly thought. The joy that comes from the devil is short lived, lanced with unimaginable compromise, acceptance and approval of sin, draws men into destruction and death thereafter, but the joy that comes from God is pure, it is sustained by Him, through His power and words, and is not as a result of any physical or artificial stimulation.

Joy is one of the fruits of the spirit that should be diligently sort after by believers, pursued with all humility, love, and mastered in everything we do. Joy is a gift from God that opens the hearts for peace to flow through effortlessly. And one of the best men in the bible who truly praised God and saw God’s amazing grace and unlimited favor despite all the attacks on his life gave us a hint:  “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands. Serve the Lord with gladness. Come before His presence with singing. Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God. It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise. Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.” Psalms 100:1-5. David was a joyful man

Contrary to that feelings of shame, inadequacy, lack, weakness, fear, sickness pains and sorrow, seek to rejoice in the Lord. Whatever that stands to frighten, judge, intimidate, pursue and seek to over you will surely bow when they meet you at the altar of joy and praise to the living God. The devil and all forms of disappointments and frustrations cannot stand such praise. This kind of joy will open the door of hope and vision for you giving you the peace and understanding to be focused and successful. I am trusting God that you will see your tomorrow with joy. You will enter and see the next year with greater joy and a purposeful living.

Despite your feelings, make a joyful noise unto our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Despite the outward shame express the inward gladness and the out joy will follow. Despite the restrictions you may be facing in your life, enter His presence with praises in your heart and lips, and understand that the Lord is good in all His ways towards you. Know that He made you for a better purpose in life, you are His sheep, He will lead you, He will bless you, He will protect you and He will uphold you with a lasting level of rejoicing.
